BCO Sunday League is a "Train & Play" style program. It is designed to give beginner/intermediate level athletes in Grade 3-12 an opportunity to develop their volleyball skills and play competitive games as part of a team, without having to go through the stress of tryouts.
Sunday League is meant for players who have little or no previous experience (eg. have played on school team, in a summer camp, P.E. class, or have never played before). It is not meant for players who have played on a competitive club team before.

co-ed program
The co-ed program is open to boys and girls in Grades 3-12. In the Grade 6-12 Co-ed divisions, players will be assigned to a specific team at the start of the season, with the option to request teammates. In contrast, the Grade 3-5 Co-ed and Grade 6-12 Boys Only divisions do not have preassigned teams. Instead, players will be rotated weekly, allowing them to play with and against different participants each session.
Each session will include an individual skills training portion, with a focus on a different skill each week (eg. serving, passing, setting, hitting, etc). This will be followed by "modified" gameplay portion where players get to compete as a team against others. For a more detailed program description, please click here.

Boys only program
New for this year, we will be offering a "Boys Only" division for Grade 6-8 & Grade 9-12. We will also continue to offer co-ed divisions for Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12. Therefore, boys in Grade 6-12 can choose whether to register for the co-ed or the boys only program.
There are no preassigned teams in the Boys league - players will be moved around each week so that they get to play with and against different players each week. Each session will include approximately 60 minutes of skill drills focused on fundamental volleyball techniques such as setting, hitting, passing, defence, serving, and blocking. This will be followed by approximately 30 minutes of "modified" gameplay. For a more detailed program description, please click here.
